Lucen

A prompt engineer and prompt library.

Try Lucen live↗ Opens {{ demoHost }} in a new tab
How it works
01Clarify. It asks the questions a good prompt needs answered before it writes anything.
02Draft. It preprocesses the request only when needed, then generates with the Claude API.
03Review. It scores the draft and loops back to regenerate anything that fails.
How it’s built
aDesigned the architecture, the Postgres data model, and the application, taking it from concept to private beta in under four months.
bKept every run within set cost and latency bounds by building a multi-step pipeline on the Anthropic Claude API with model-generated clarifying questions, conditional preprocessing, and a scored self-correction loop that regenerates output when it fails review.
cDesigned a structured event taxonomy with correlation IDs and per-stage latency tracing, feeding an admin console that computes revenue, usage, and adoption metrics directly from Postgres.
dKept all user content out of storage by separating anonymized product events from engineering traces, a confidentiality requirement set before launch.

01 — AboutOpen any row for the full story

I started on McDonald’s point-of-sale code in Pune, moved into product ownership in Chandigarh, then into market intelligence at Agoda in Bangkok.

In Seattle I worked with three restaurants to find where their revenue was leaking and win it back. Now I’m studying business analytics at Seattle University and building Lucen.

Identified 30% revenue leakage to third-party delivery platforms by analyzing revenue and commission costs across every sales channel (dine-in, takeout, phone, and delivery apps) for three Seattle-area restaurants.

Channel mix, before and after direct ordering

  2. 02Raised promotional ROI 22% and repeat orders 15% by running structured pricing, menu, and promotion experiments and keeping only the offerings that earned the most in each category.
  3. 03Saved 12 hours of manual reporting per week and cut data refresh time 70% by building Python (pandas) pipelines that combine point-of-sale (POS) data from Toast, Clover, and Square with online orders in Tableau dashboards.
  4. 04Secured owner buy-in for a direct-ordering strategy by presenting channel profitability findings and recommendations to each restaurant owner.
  5. 05Gave owners one reliable view of revenue by channel by reconciling order data across disconnected POS and website systems.
